If already cleaning the windows of the house without leaving halos it is not always an easy and immediate task, cleaning the windows of offices and other buildings can create even more problems.
To clean the windows of the house, avoiding halos, you can use a common glass cleaner, there are many of them in every supermarket and are often multi-purpose so you do not have to buy ten different products. This is certainly the fastest way, suitable for those who do not have much time. But there are also many traditional remedies, such as put in a spray bottle a quarter of a liter of water, half cup of vinegar, half cup of alcohol and three drops of liquid for dishes.
The compound resultant liquid has to be sprayed (in small amounts) on the surface to be cleaned, then wipe it with a dry rub or better with newspaper.
For very dirty windows you should clean the glass once (warm water) with soaked and squeezed newspaper and a second time with clean water, still warm with the addition of a teaspoon of denatured alcohol and a drop of dishwashing detergent and then mop it up with dry and scrunched up newspaper.
If you plan to clean the glass using a rag, remember that first it must be dusted and then mopped up with a soft, soaked and squeezed cloth (but that does not leave piles), starting from the sides toward the center. Wipe it again immediately with a chamois cloth or newspaper.
But when it comes to large areas, the problems are quite different, such as size, being able to reach all points, in addition to the risk of scratches and scrapes. For this latter problem can be remedied by using the window films, which are often at least 100 microns thick. There are also reflective films to reduce heat input and determining the light, those with a low emissivity for the control of energy losses, for protection from ultraviolet radiation.
In general glass cleaning is carried out through professional products and specific equipment, which allows to reach considerable heights and to thoroughly clean all types of window glass, or window, without any problem and the outcome is absolutely perfect. Among these we can find the telescopic poles, ladders, scaffolding and aerial platforms. When the glass walls are difficult to reach by these means, the problem can be solved using the method with double rope also called tree climbing. This activity is certainly not easy and it is all done exclusively by experts, who go down through the ropes along the walls of any height, and cleans the glass / coatings of various types with no bulk. This will also avoid, in historical centers, to request very expensive permits.
The use of cleaning products, products with active solvents / acids or acid / alkaline, are the basis of simple cleaning of glass or double glazing. Another foolproof method is exceptionally effective and based on the principle of ionization of water, without any chemicals, but with only the cleaning action of a jet of pure water continuously removes any dirt from the glass surface. This method is particularly suitable for glass no larger than 15 meters in height.
